Palma Ceia Neighborhood Association was incorporated in 1997. Our volunteer board & committees serve to improve our neighborhood, build community, and address issues that affect residents & businesses.
As the Heart of South Tampa, we advocate for our historic neighborhood. By collaborating with nearby neighborhoods, we improve roads, parks, schools, utilities, and more.
Current Issues
- Improve Bay to Bay business district - an important walkable amenity to residents.
- Expand & enhance our parks - Corona Park, Palma Ceia Park, Roosevelt Elementary, and space around the Crosstown Expressway.
- Host events to engage neighbors - resident happy hour, holiday activities, Spring kids' egg hunt, and Membership meeting.
Prior Wins
- Funded and coordinated Corona Park improvements, including toddler playground & butterfly garden.
- Relocated TECO utility poles away from Bay to Bay sidewalks.
- Landscaped Mississippi Ave / Crosstown underpass.
- Funded aesthetic improvements to street intersections, including MacDill & Bay to Bay, and Corona & Sterling.
- Advocated for traffic calming measures on Bay to Bay.
- Palma Ceia Arts Pop-Up event including kids' activities, muralist & DJ.
- Organized regular volunteer cleanups of our public spaces.
- Expanded geographic footprint of neighborhood, to include circular park south of El Prado Blvd.
